Message to the students who want to enter Esys lab

Today the gamut of urban environment has grown beyond the realm of just urban pollution. Urban environment has now become a complex function of built environment, urbanites and their life. Having a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning with three years experience in the industry, intrigued me enough to pursue PhD with urban environment serving as a unit of research and analysis. The Environmental systems lab, with diverse research topics, excellent faculty with high impact publishing & full support for research activities, provides the perfect ground to choose this lab for my research pursuit. The faculty in the lab has diverse experience and encourages out of the box research. Regular one to one research meeting is the USP of the lab. This helps in steady and efficient progress of the research. The faculty is very accessible, offering office hours as well as the open door policy. This lab gives me the independence & flexibility to explore many unique academic opportunities and allows me to directly focus my studies on the areas of my research interests. I enjoy the community feeling which we have among our diverse lab members, Most of us are international students with diverse backgrounds, and this enables me to broaden my research horizons.

Apart from regular research activities we enjoy our leisure time like a family. Both the faculty and students gather together to celebrate various occasions of celebrations. This helps in breaking the ice & making an emotionally stable research environment.

Anybody who is akin towards innovative urban environment research and looking for a lab which enables independent thinking under able guidance, this is the lab they should be opting for.
